I have been a photographer since the early 1990's. It took a long time for me to think of myself as anything other than a hobbyist. After my time in the United States Navy, I came home and decided to go to college for something that was a passion. I had always thought that practicality should outweigh passion when deciding a career, but my time in the military taught me a lot about doing what you love and letting go of your preconceived notions. I decided to go to college. My associates degree was in Television Production and from there I moved onto studying Film, Cinema and Photography.  All throughout my college years, I was employed at a couple different television stations. By the time I graduated, I would be offered a directing position at another station.
